ROLL-UP (ROLL WAY) COVERS

Roll-up way covers are compact protection solutions designed to safeguard guideways, linear rails, ball screws, and moving machine components from chips, coolant, oil, and debris. The cover material rolls and unrolls smoothly on a spring-loaded or motorized mechanism as the machine axis moves, providing continuous protection with minimal space requirement.

Ideal for high-speed and long-travel applications, roll-up covers are widely used on CNC machines and automation systems where conventional covers are not feasible. Their lightweight construction ensures smooth operation while improving machine reliability and reducing maintenance.

Roll-up covers without a housing are suitable for areas with limited space, and facilitate optimal integration into the machine enclosure.

Roll-up covers with a housing protect the roll-up cover and enable simple assembly, also retrofitting. The complete system provides selectable fixing possibilities and a defined belt outlet position.

Interlocked profile with polyurethane hinge. Bending in both directions is possible, with flat-end or angled-end bar options.

MOTORISED ROLL WAY COVERS (ON REQUEST)

  • Motorised roll way covers can be supplied on request for long travel, higher duty cycles, and synchronized movement requirements.
  • Fabric Used: A - Polyester coated with PVC; B - Polyester coated with Polyurethane; C - Stainless Steel; D - Polyester coated with Rubber; E - PVC Transparent; F - Aluminium cover carpet; G - Aluminium coated fabric.
  • Standard canister size range (A x A): 40x40, 50x50, 60x60, 70x70, 80x80, 90x90, 100x100, 110x110, 120x120, 130x130, 140x140, 150x150.
  • Band attachment positions supported: Horizontal, Frontal, and Vertical.
  • Fixing positions are available in multiple orientations to match machine space constraints.
  • Housing type options include visible-side mounting as shown in the reference layout.

ALUMAFLEX RIB STYLES

  • Type A: Interlocked with polyurethane hinge, bending in both directions possible. Angled or flat bar at end of shade.
  • Type B: Ball-and-socket interlock with plastic end caps. No polyurethane components.
  • Type C: Interlocked with hidden polyurethane hinge, resulting in a smoother, flatter surface. Angled or flat bar at end of shade.

ALUMAFLEX ROLL-UP COVERS: RIB PROFILE DIMENSIONS

  • Type A rib (urethane hinge): approx. 0.20 in [5.1 mm] profile height, ~0.80 in [20.4 mm] pitch region, and end-bar options with 0.78 in [19.9 mm] projection.
  • Type A end options: Flat End and Angled End; Angled End overall height shown as 0.95 in [24.1 mm].
  • Type B rib: approx. 0.24 in [6.0 mm] profile height and 0.75 in [19.1 mm] rib spacing; custom ends available.
  • Type C rib (urethane hinge): approx. 0.22 in [5.5 mm] profile height and ~0.81 in [20.5 mm] pitch region.
  • Type C end options: Flat End and Angled End with dimensions shown at 0.20 in [5.1 mm], 0.78 in [19.9 mm], and 0.95 in [24.1 mm].

  • Protection against chipping waste, oils and cooling emulsions

  • Steel belt made of rust-resistant and acid-resistant spring steel strip in material thicknesses from 0.2 to 0.4 mm
  • Plastic belt made of special fabric in different material thicknesses and designs
  • Steel roller belts only available in combination with housing

  • For high travel speeds and loads.
